I’m Bahareh, an English-Farsi (Persian) translator, educator, and author with over 15 years of professional experience. I have a PhD in Translation Studies and a Masters in English Translation. I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and immigrated to the US in 2011. Having taught a variety of language and cultural courses in my home country and in the US, I recognized the lack of materials available for learners of conversational Farsi and embarked on a mission to create accessible resources for second and third-generation Iranians in the United States seeking to connect with their heritage, and for anyone interested in learning Farsi.
I love teaching and introducing the rich language and culture of Iran to those who are interested. I teach all levels of Farsi to both children and adults regardless of their familiarity with the language. While I generally focus on basic to advanced sentence structure and the use of language in real-life conversational contexts, I tailor my lessons to the specific goals, needs, and learning styles of my students.
In addition to teaching speaking, listening, writing, and grammar, I provide lessons in Persian culture, poetry, and history. I love reading and memorizing Persian poems and will always be happy to read some to you at your request! :) I also love cooking Persian food and do provide my recipes to my students! :)

Bahareh is from Tehran, Iran, where she completed her bachelor's and master’s degrees in English Translation. Later, she immigrated to the United States to pursue her passion for language studies at Kent State University where she earned her Ph.D. in Translation Studies. Bahareh is an expert in language education and has extensive experience in both face-to-face and online instruction. She has taught a diverse array of students in a variety of subjects including ESL, IELTS, Persian language and culture, and translation.
Having taught many language and cultural courses in her home country of Iran and in the United States, Bahareh has developed her own unique language learning materials. She is currently creating language resources that provide English-speaking learners of conversational Farsi with a visually fun and interactive learning experience. See her books HERE!
