Yalda Night - shab e Yalda -

“Yalda” - “یَلدا” or “Chelleh” - “چِلّه” is a beloved Persian tradition celebrated on the winter solstice. On the longest and darkest night of the year (the last night of fall), people gather to welcome winter, honor the rebirth of the sun, and celebrate the triumph of light over darkness.

For the love of Yalda …

We gather, tell stories, and read Hafez;
We enjoy watermelons, pomegranates, sweets, nuts, warm food and drinks;
And, celebrate the return of light on the longest night of the year.

May this Yalda fill your hearts with warmth, your homes with laughter, and your days with light.♥️♥️♥️
